Home Construction
Hours: Wednesday - Friday & Saturday morning.
Morning shift: 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon shift: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Duties: Anything from painting, hammering, or sawing. You will be working under the guidance of our construction manager.
Dress: Wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

ReStore
The ReStore serves as a fundraising vehicle for Starkville Habitat. It is a thrift store that benefits our mission to eradicate substandard housing in Oktibbeha County.
Hours: Thursday - Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Shifts are morning and afternoon, flexible hours available.
Duties: Arrange or load furniture, organize donations, and clean the retail store.
Dress: Wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Recycling
Recycling gives new purpose to items that might otherwise be thrown away, helping us all cut down on waste and care for our community.
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, hours vary.
Duties: Dismantle appliances, electric motors, etc. and sort metals.
Dress: Wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Wednesday Morning Pick-up
Our pick-up crew is made of strong volunteers to help us pick up donations for the ReStore!
Hours: Wednesday mornings, 8 a.m. usually done by 12 p.m. or sooner.
Duties: Going to pick up donations, must be able to lift and carry. Loading and unloading the box truck.
Dress: Wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Warehouse Sale
Habitat’s Warehouse is an extension of our ReStore! The monthly Warehouse Sale allows us to sell building materials, doors, windows, tools, and more!
Hours: First Saturday of every month, from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Duties: Organizing and and pricing items the week before, and strong bodies to help load purchases for customers the day of the sale.
Dress: Wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Mowing
Grass must be cut often at the Warehouse and Construction Site. We have a riding mower and push mower at the Warehouse. We have a bush hog at the Construction Site.
Hours: Flexible.
Duties: Cutting grass.
Dress: Wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
