Starkville Habitat for Humanity is not taking applications right now. Check back in September for news about our fall application period.
To become a Habitat partner, you must go through an application process. Applicants must meet three basic requirements to be considered for partnership:
- Be a resident of Oktibbeha County, Mississippi for at least one year
- Have a need for better housing. Need is based on the condition of housing, but also on factors such as overcrowding (as defined by HUD guildelines)
- Be able to pay a 20-year mortgage which covers your house payment plus deposits for an escrow account to cover property taxes and homeowner’s insurance.
