#43 – The “Apostles” House - 153 Bennett Street
The Apostles’ House is a Habitat home sponsored by area churches that are working together to build this home just as Christ’s Apostles worked together to spread Jesus’ message. Churches donate money for building supplies, and along with college students from other states, provide labor to build this house. Additionally, churches support this activity by providing meals and refreshments for the visiting college students.
This Partner Family includes a working mother and father and eight children, ages 20,16,14,13,12,9,7 and 6. The family is currently living in an extremely crowded two bedroom house with one closet converted to a very small bedroom. With only one bathroom, family members awake early to utilize allotted bathroom time.  This family is not only excited about a decent place to live and owning their own home, but also the life changing opportunity home ownership brings. Â
Starkville Area Habitat for Humanity has helped to build 43 houses. View some of our past projects.
