What is Habitat?

·         Habitat for Humanity is a Christian ministry providing training and support to empower families in breaking the cycle of poverty through ownership of a decent home.

·         Habitat forms partnerships with low-income families to build simple homes that they then purchase on a no-profit, no-interest basis.

·         Through volunteers, donations, and other support Habitat brings a diverse community together in support of a family in need.

The Deerfield house is nearing completion.

The Apostles’ House

The Apostles’ House is a Habitat home sponsored by area churches that are working together to build this home just as Christ’s Apostles worked together to spread Jesus’ message. Churches donate money for building supplies, and along with college students from other states, provide the labor to build this house. Additionally, churches support this activity by providing meals and refreshments for the visiting college students.
